Project Description
Polaris and PDF Expert (Word-like programs for iPad etc) lack a decent export feature; but both provide a web interface, that a script can suck data from...

This .net console app, which is very clean and light (no trix), will make repeated web requests to a url, in order to recreate the folder structure and all of its contents - providing a nice alternative to downloading the files manually, one at a time, to effect a data export.

Instructions:

1. Enable the basic webserver provided by PDFExpert or Polaris, and either create (or allow) a user, as those programs permit

2. Create a target folder for the data to go into

3. Hard-code the information from steps 1 & 2, and then compile and run the appropriate exe (there are two exes, one for each platform)

3a) PDF Export - has 2 hard-coded settings:
Dim targetPath As String = "C:\dev\MikeExport\DataFrom_PdfExpert\" ' With Trailing slash \
Dim source As String = "http://192.168.1.2" ' Without Trailing slash

3b) Polaris - has 3 (or 4) hard-coded settings: (same as before, but with a username/password)
Dim targetPath As String = "C:\dev\MikeExport\DataFrom_Polaris\" ' With Trailing slash \
Dim source As String = "http://192.168.1.2:8080/" ' With Trailing slash /

Dim wc As New Net.WebClient
wc.Credentials = New Net.NetworkCredential("Polaris", "") 'Configured in Polaris

4) Profit! Don't forget to richly reward your developer with much land and cattle
